Driving Through Red Light in Boca Causes One Death

A 24-year-old West Boca woman was killed in a violent car accident when her vehicle slammed into another vehicle while driving through a red light west of Boca Baton. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the woman died following the car accident at Delray Medical Center just hours after the Sunday crash.

Reports detail that the woman was driving a 2010 Honda sedan eastbound on Palmetto Park Road when her car collided with another vehicle around 2 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities are reporting that the cause of the accident was the woman’s fault as she drove through a red light. The car accident occurred at the intersection of Boca Del Mar Drive. When the woman failed to stop for the red light, she struck a 2004 Ford SUV. Reports detail that the woman was not wearing his seat belt.
The driver of the Ford SUV, a 48-year-old man, was attempting to turn left onto Palmetto Park Road from northbound Boca Del Mar Drive. The impact of the car crash slammed the SUV into two other vehicles on the road. As a result, the driver of the SUV was taken to Delray Medical Center where they briefly may have needed the services of a Delray Beach car accident lawyer. The driver suffered minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt during the crash.

Authorities are currently investigating this fatal car accident in Florida and police have not reported if drugs or alcohol were involved in this crash. Funeral arrangements for the deceased driver have not been announced yet. The current condition of the other driver was not currently available.
